7th International Conference on the Functional Architecture of Memory

The medial temporal lobe MTL is critically involved in memory processing and its function is altered in aging and in patients with amnesia, resulting in profound memory impairments that significantly affect daily life. The FAM Conferences focus on elucidating the specific contribution of each MTL area to memory function. World-leading experts in human and animal memory research will present their most recent findings, offering new perspectives on major controversies in memory research. The conference aims to strengthen the integration of human and animal memory research by bringing together evidence from molecular, neuroanatomical, electrophysiological, and imaging studies, employing state-of-the-art methodologies.

A distinctive feature of the meeting is a dedicated half-day of blitz talks on medial temporal lobe (MTL) function and memory, delivered by conference participants to stimulate brainstorming and encourage scientific interactions. Participation is limited to 100 attendees to foster in-depth discussion.

As always, to foster brainstorming, a 5 min- data blitz session welcomes your contribution and a student/speaker only session takes place at lunch time. This year a new ' Science and the March of time' event featuring Menno Witter will take place during the conference dinner.
