13th CME International Conference on Complex Medical Engineering (CME 2019)

The Institute of Complex Medical Engineering (ICME) is an international nonprofit organization established in 2005 in Takamatsu, Japan. It is dedicated to foster development of medical diagnoses and therapies, to improve reliability, safety, flexibility and expandability of theory and practice of medicine to support healthy lives of people worldwide. This requires interdisciplinary efforts of engineers, medical doctors, rehabilitation specialists, neuroscientists, and other specialities.

Since 2005, the ICME has organized a variety of conferences and symposia per year. It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 13th CME International Conference on Complex Medical Engineering (CME 2019) in Dortmund, Germany. The objective of CME 2019 is to provide a forum for researchers, educators, engineers, neurologists, medical staff and government officials involved in the general areas of biomedical engineering to disseminate their latest research results and exchange views on future research directions of these fields. We expect that this conference proves to be a very rewarding and valuable technical meeting.

The venue is located in Dortmund, Germany. Dortmund is a city with a history of coal mining and steal industry, but changed its appearance during the last years. Nowadays, as part of the larger Ruhr-Rhine region, including Bochum, Essen Duisburg, Cologne, and Duesseldorf, it offers a rich culture with theatres, operas, and a quite green environment. Moreover, it hosts one of the most vivid academic environments in the country, including various Universities covering the full academic range, including life, natural, and engineering sciences.
