The Schram-Stiftung (Schram Foundation) awards up to three research grants in the field of fundamental neuroscience.
Funding is primarily intended to support independent young scientists who want to explore new research topics. Priority is given to projects that study molecular and cellular aspects of nervous system functions.
The Schram Foundation supports curiosity-driven research in basic neurosciene. Ideal projects are innovative and daring and involve novel techniques.
The Foundation awards up to EUR 120,000/year for a maximum of three years to cover the costs for staff, scientific equipment, supplies, travel, and other expenses in a flexible manner.

Grant proposals should be written in English.
The title and summary of each proposal must also be submitted in German.
The application can only be submitted via an online application procedure on this website.
The attachments should preferably be uploaded as a PDF file that is not password protected and that can be read, copied, and printed out without any restrictions.
Funding decisions are made by the Foundation based on independent peer reviews.
