The GSN links research groups from behavioral & cognitive neuroscience, biomedical neuroscience, cellular & systems neuroscience, molecular & developmental neuroscience, neurophilosophy and theoretical neuroscience & technical applications.
The training concept of the Graduate School of Systemic Neurosciences responds to the rapidly developing neuroscience field and is designed to offer an optimally structured and student-centered teaching program in English, comprehensive and state-of-the-art scientific training supported by the exceptionally broad scope of research associated with the Munich Center for Neurosciences - Brain & Mind, ECTS-based grading, fully compatible with the Bologna System, personal career planning plus intensive individual coaching for scientific and related careers, various options for lab rotations with collaborating Munich institutions, such as the Technische Universität München, Max-Planck-Institutes, and Helmholtz Center Munich as well as their international research partners and an international network for future careers in academia for graduates, PhD students and postdocs.
A special PI lecture series introduces the various key topics and methods to all students in the GSN.
