Grants

As in the past, the GNS provides travel grants of 500 Euro each for participation in the 14^th Forum of European Neuroscience. Selection of grant winners is performed by a committee of GNS board members.

Calls for application are launched in the autumn of odd years. Application deadlines are in February of the following year. The following criteria must be fulfilled for an application:

• eligible were doctoral students and young postdocs up to four years after completion of their PhD or MD
• who participate with an own contribution as first author, and
• who are GNS member regardless whether they work in Germany or abroad.

Applications must be submitted via an online form and contain the following documents:

• Motivation letter (max. 3,000 characters including spaces)
• a one-page CV (max. 3,000 characters including spaces)   
• a list of publications (if applicable)
• a copy of the abstract as first author (max. 3,000 characters including spaces)
• a short letter of recommendation
• Applications by young researchers working in coordinated programs (SFB, SPP, FOR, GRK) or „Blaue Liste“ Institutes (MPI etc.) must contain a statement by the group leader why support by the GNS is needed.

Stipend applications do not replace the registration for the FENS Forum. Registration must be performed in addition.

The deadline for applications is February 12, 2024 (11.59 p.m. CET) .
