GNS stipends for the FENS Forum of European Neuroscience 2022

As in the past, the GNS (German Neuroscience Society, NWG) offers stipends for the participation in the FENS Forum 2022. The stipend amounts to 500 € in case the Forum will be held as a physical meeting. In case the FENS Forum will be a virtual meeting, the stipend will cover the registration and abstract handling fees up to 500 €. If the Forum will become a hybrid meeting the stipend will be the amount to the one or the other, depending on the type of participation.

The awardees will be selected by a committee formed by GNS board members.

Criteria for selection:

• Eligible are doctoral students and young postdoc up to four years after completion of their PhD or MD
• who participate with an own contribution as first author, and
• who are GNS member regardless whether they work in Germany or abroad.

The following documents must be uploaded in German or English:

• Motivation letter (max. 3000 characters including spaces)
• CV (max. 3000 characters including spaces)
• List of publications (if applicable)
• Copy of the abstract submitted to the FENS Forum
• Short letter of recommendation. Each group leader can support one application only.
• Applications by young researcher working in coordinated programs (SFB, SPP, FOR, GRK) or „Blaue Liste“ Institutes (MPI etc.) must contain a statement by the group leader why support by the GNS is needed.

Incomplete application will not be considered and will be rejected.

Please be aware that the application for a stipend DOES NOT INCLUDE registration for the FENS Forum. Registration via the FENS Forum Website is mandatory.
